My constructor has designed an HEA 220 beam over the garage opening. Now I'm wondering how I should mount it on my lecawall that is 250 mm wide. My first thought was to cast a ledge that the beam can stand on, but maybe I should use a metal plate that is cast in?
Does anyone have a suggestion for a hurried day like this when all the experts are on vacation?
