Hello!! I have a round mirror with a 70 cm diameter that weighs about 2-4 kg. I would like to hang it on my drywall. However, it seems the wall is a bit too thick for expanders, I've tried with 5x51 but they were too short for the wall and couldn't expand. Therefore, I'm now wondering if it's possible to hang it with drywall anchors instead and if there is any type you would recommend in my case.
Grateful for all answers!

It could be that you have double plaster?
There are expanders for that too if so.

Pinch the washer on your expander with pliers so you can push it in and use a longer expander in the same hole.
Admittedly, it should suffice to tighten the one you already have a bit so it grips the drywall. After all, it's only meant to hold a lightweight mirror that's hanging right next to the wall.

Use gypsum plug HW Pro much easier to use than expander (Molly plug)
