We are going to drywall our newly built garage due to fire rating (3m to the house).
Currently, the wall is:
10mm chipboard
95mm insulation
22mm paneling

I was planning to go and buy economy drywall at Byggmax since it’s the right length and a good price. But then it said it wasn’t fire-rated...

Are there really differences with different types of drywall?
Do you have to buy the one that is Swedish standard, I wonder?

*Many believe that double plasterboard on the walls is the only way to achieve wall fire rating. However, this is not true; there are many different ways to combine materials so that you can have a fire-rated garage and still easily hang things on the walls. It is the combination of outer panel and inner panel, as well as the thickness and type of insulation, that determines the fire rating. As an example, we construct our insulated garages with: 12 mm particle board, at least 95 mm glass wool insulation, and 22 mm outer wood panel. This construction meets fire rating EI30.*

Economic plasterboard is not great to work with, so I would always choose standard plasterboard, but from a fire perspective, you can choose whichever you want.
