Gypsum board reinforced with plywood - how to fasten?
Living in an apartment with drywall as interior walls. A wall intended for TV mounting is reinforced with plywood behind it. If it were only drywall, I understand that I should use molly bolts for mounting a TV/wall furniture, for example in the rest of the apartment. But now that it is drywall+plywood, what should be used? I also see in pictures from the construction that there are regularly spaced studs made of steel if that adds anything.
If there is plywood behind, it should work fine to screw directly into it with an appropriately thick screw.H Heggemony said:I live in an apartment with drywall as interior walls. So you don't need molly plugs, plastic plugs, or anything? Just a plain screw? Even if it's for a TV or a wall-mounted TV bench underneath?H hapazard said:

In general, you should be able to handle that type of wall like a wooden wall, i.e., no plug.
But if you are concerned about the increased weight of a large TV, especially if you have a long arm or similar, you can always use mollyplugg intended for double gypsum that expands behind the plywood.
