After a lot of effort putting up drywall, there remains a small wall, height 240 cm, width 120 cm, that needs a drywall. This wall has both an outer corner and an inner corner (it's the back of a closet from 1968 that's accessible from the hallway outside). It looks like it would be difficult to make this wall nice and even without drywall (it's particle board on the outside now) and there's quite a gap in the inner corner now.

As the drywall has been installed now, no beveled drywall edges have been placed in the corners, but the drywall has been divided to get a straight edge in the corners.

You might think that a drywall with a standard width of 120 cm is a perfect candidate for this wall, but now we come to the tricky question:

Are there drywall panels available to buy that do not have beveled edges, or what do you do when the entire width of a drywall panel is used? If I take the drywall as it is, I'll have beveled edges in both the inner and outer corners. Should you break a whole and nice drywall panel to get straight edges in the corners? :x

Now I also don't know if there's much to fasten to in the middle of this wall.. But I assume there's some framework that constitutes the structure for the closet at least out by the corners.

Maybe lay the panel down? You get the joint in the middle of the wall horizontally.

Split the disc lengthwise and place the left piece to the right, and vice versa. Then you will get the recesses in the middle.

Thanks for the answers! It'll probably involve breaking a whole and perfect drywall sheet that has exactly the right dimensions to make it fit. 😀

Installing corner beads and applying joint compound

Have records without a beveled edge disappeared completely?
I seem to remember that they are available at places like byggmax, somewhat cheaper than those with a beveled edge.

I haven't found any board with straight edges at ByggMax, only Swedish standard and EU standard.

Why not just screw up the board as it is? You can just fill in the bevel with filler.

It is almost impossible to make the outer corner look nice with the beveled edge.

35 SEK and you get a perfect corner to spackle with and the corner withstands bumps better

But the corner does not become 90 degrees

Ok, what is the degree of the corner?

You apply the filler as usual and then you pull away using two putty knives at the same time, one putty knife on each side and place them on top of each other. You have to do it a few times before you get the hang of it, but then it turns out really well.

Place corner protection
