Hi.
Can someone explain this thing about ground frost?
How should one think to avoid it?
Let's say I am going to build a carport...
and pour a slab in a U shape 10 meters in all directions...
In such a case, one doesn't dig down 2 meters, which is frost-free here...
If we say the casting is 40 cm wide and 20 cm thick,
How much ground insulation must be placed outside all edges so that it can't move due to frost?
Is there some basic rule or similar? Thanks for all the info.
