What does a glulam beam in the dimension of 56 x 180 mm correspond to when compared with standard wood studs? Is it like a 45 x 195 or a 45 x 220 or "more"?

It corresponds to approximately 3 pcs 45x220 K12.
A glulam beam with the dimension 56x180 has approximately a moment capacity of 8 kNm
a 45x220 (K12) beam has approximately a moment capacity of 3 kNm.
If you want to replace glulam, it's most economical to use LVL-beam (Kerto) instead, they are both stronger and cheaper, however, they are uglier!

3 pcs 35 x 220? Seriously? Sounds like it will be enough as a support beam for my deck project this spring in other words...

Maybe it was a typo, but in sustainability calculations, it might be good to point out that the post from tompa_70 afterwards is a different dimension.

I made a mistake, I meant, of course, that I was surprised that it was equivalent to 3 pcs 45 x 220 (not 2 pcs "352 x 220).
