I have just ordered the following PVC skirting board.
https://www.amazon.se/-/en/gp/product/B01N80SL00/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
It is self-adhesive, but only on the part that attaches to the wall.
This is going to be installed in the garage to protect the walls in case of water spills, so it doesn't seep into the walls.

The floor is concrete, untreated. There is a risk that in the future, I might want to paint the floor with epoxy paint or do something to the surface. Therefore, I am unsure what type of sealant to use under the small part of the skirting board that goes against the concrete floor.
I know PL400 and PL600 work, but they are very permanent and unnecessarily strong. Silicone might work, but it could cause issues for future surface treatments/painting of the floor.

What do you recommend that is durable but not irreversibly set?

Thanks!
