Gluing MDF to drywall, which adhesive?
Planning to build mirror panels and have 6mm MDF that I intend to place on the wall under the chair rail.
Will use a brad nailer but also thought of applying some nice adhesive.
What adhesive is recommended?
I've considered using wet room adhesive to spread out with a fine notched trowel.
Worried about getting too thick an adhesive with a short open time that creates a gap behind the board.

It should probably work if the surfaces are flat. But why glue? It would be very complicated to disassemble later if that were the case, wouldn't it?
I have a few meters where I need to use glue because I have a WC fixture behind the wall and I don't dare to use the nail gun. I've installed a 1mm stainless steel sheet behind the plasterboard there for safety as a puncture guard, but I'm counting on only using glue in that area.
It's also a way to ensure that I don't have to nail so infernally much and get a board that stays secure and doesn't bubble out. I'm probably exaggerating the problem and complicating things as I often do.
But maybe it's simplest with regular wood glue. 👍
I thought it might be too tight, but in thin layers, it should still cure. Wet room adhesive should be able to cure behind a completely sealed plastic mat, I thought.
