Glue on plaster?

Hi!
I have a chimney cap that I need to install.. the problem is that the chimney with the crown (is that what it's called) looks a bit fragile, so I'm a bit worried that it will all fall apart if I start drilling for plugs and screws.

Is there a reasonable way to glue it on?

Same here, drill carefully without hammering, usually goes well in old concrete, and as deep as possible, preferably with a loooong screw and double plugs in the hole.
