I'm going to glue glass to a metal surface.
What should I use?
Silicone
Glass silicone
PL400
Set glue

Or something completely different?

It depends a bit on the application, but I would use an ms-based adhesive, e.g., PL400 or PL200.

When I glued stainless steel to glass blocks, I used PL400.

It can be added that there are boxes on a tractor.

Then perhaps rubber seals intended for the purpose are a good idea?
Butyl is normally used when attaching car windows. Otherwise, I would have considered pl200, which is more flexible than pl400.

Don't remember exactly what it's called but marinlim (pl series) black mass that withstands moisture and is flexible. I've used it when I replaced windows in the boat.

Then it's probably PL200 you're thinking of.

Found some butyl tape here at home. Also checked with the tractor workshop, they use karosserikit.
