glue for wooden countertop?

What kind of glue should be used, for example when oiling it should be food-grade approved, but what kind of glue should be used to glue it together?

Regular wood glue works well, possibly a moisture-resistant one depending on what you are going to use the board for. The glue cures, which oil does not, hence paraffin oil is used for boards on which food is handled.
