If you have an extra roofing tile, climb up on the roof and replace it.
The risk is high that the tile absorbs moisture. When it then freezes, it cracks. Or more chips come off. So in the near future, you will have to replace it anyway. Unfortunately, it can be tricky to replace tiles near the ridge. The ridge tiles are nailed/screwed, so it's often complicated.
It's not a catastrophe if the tile breaks/cracks, as there is a tight underlayment. But it's just as well to take the opportunity now that it's summer.
