Isn't there a risk that it will become really slippery, resulting in fall injuries?
May I ask what thickness of glass you have chosen?

A bit surprised by the thickness though. I did something similar to bring more light into a previously a bit dim part of the house. The glass supplier measured it to 350 kg/m² and it became 20 mm safety glass, which I welded an angle profile frame to. With that and the rubber strip I came precisely level with my floor, which is 27 mm "panneau 3-pli". (don't really know how we say that in Swedish.)
Here in expensive Switzerland I paid just over 400 CHF i.e., 400*7 (then)=2800 SEK for 0.7x2.8 m.
