How can you do when you have an ettträdus from 1958, where gaps have appeared between the facade wood and the sheet metal at the top of the window, feels like cold air can blow in there in autumn and winter,
Prefer not to have to replace boards and battens.
Tips are gratefully received.

Personally, I wouldn't have done anything about this.
Can't see any problem/error in the pictures.

There should be a gap, otherwise water is absorbed more easily.
 
Agree with the previous. I would rather have done nothing.
