Galvanized profile or steel strip for edge on trailer

Hello!

I would like to know where I can get a metal profile to protect the edge of standing new form plywood that I have as sides/ends on my trailer. 12 mm width. Ideally, I'd like something galvanized like a U-profile that can be attached and protects against mechanical wear and rain. Even a metal strip would probably work.

Then I wonder if one can/should coat form plywood with some oil or other treatment to protect it a little extra?

Invest in aluminum, it is lighter and you won't have to surface treat where you process the material (cutting and drilling).
