Hello,
I have perhaps not a very simple question, but I'm planning to build a 1 1/2 story house with an unfinished upper floor, which I'll finish myself except for electrical and plumbing. Can anyone take a guess at what it might cost in materials? The area is 63m2. I'm planning a bathroom with a shower, 1 large bedroom with a walk-in closet, a living room, storage/walk-in closet, and 2 smaller bedrooms.
In any case, it's going to be really exciting.
Take care!

If you build it yourself, you can get a very luxurious upper floor for that price.Webe said:
I'm just working on our upper floor and have the bathroom left, expecting not to exceed 150,000 :-.
I've had help with electricity and plumbing, otherwise done everything myself.
The area is 70 sqm, 2 bedrooms, living room, walk-in closet, bathroom.
Hello and thanks for all the posts, I thought 250-300,000 sounded excessively high... good to hear that there is hope of managing for much cheaper than that... I also know some plumbing and electrical guys so that should probably solve itself cheaply too. Let me take the opportunity to ask one more thing, everyone says it's unnecessary to have water-based underfloor heating upstairs (I have it on the ground floor), is it worth having it upstairs too, or is it of no use, as heat tends to rise...
I got a price of about 20,000:- + connection for underfloor heating upstairs, or is it enough/smart to have electric radiators in the 3 rooms upstairs?
I am in an "almost" identical situation as you. We are soon building a Trivselhus where I'm leaving the upper floor of 80 sqm unfinished but insulated with materials. I have all the materials etc., but I removed the job. I chose underfloor heating on the upper floor without hesitation; the standard on the upper floor was electric radiators. If we were to have waterborne radiators, we would have to add 17,000, and waterborne underfloor heating 22,000, so it was a no-brainer.
If you go with waterborne underfloor heating, you'll have a flexible system in the future + you can avoid anything called radiators (the wife will be thrilled hehe)

Well, we have estimated around 250,000 but we will not be furnishing the space ourselves, which I probably should have mentioned... I'm the kind of person who would rather guess higher than lower. That way, you're pleasantly surprised later...
