So to facilitate my temporary lack of space, I will put up a loft bed.
I have two options where I assume one will work, but I'm curious if you think the other one will hold. Everything is shown in the pictures. I will prop up 170x45mm on three walls, where 40cm of 150cm on one wall is free-hanging. I plan to add steel brackets for support and, of course, L-puzzle the slats. I have a tiled stove that I will build around and keep about 5cm away from the stove, it is quite well-insulated and we rarely use it, so there's no danger except that it's a bit in the way. Finally, it's the longest beam of 315cm that will be free-hanging. There will be spaced battens as slats for the bed and plasterboard/thin MDF underneath as a "ceiling" to set spotlights in, and I will probably put some steel brackets for the battens too. It is brick in all the walls.
A 140 bed will go up and as you can see, there will be a little extra space as a bedside table and or seating area. So preferably, it should support 3 people.
And lastly, do you think 6x90 wood screws are sufficient for mounting?
Thanks in advance!
The pictures are by no means to scale.
Of course, there is also a slat on the short piece in the first one
It holds without any problems. Use nail angles in the corners and screw the studs with wood screws. Feel free to use 45*70 instead of battens in between, so you can lay chipboard and any floor of your choice on top of this later.
