I'm considering using a pine floor as the surface on the inner wall of the garage instead of using OSB + gypsum board. I think it would create a more solid and attractive wall with less work.
Something like the options below. What do you think about it, is there any reason not to do so?
It will be a horizontal "panel" in that case.

Sturdy, and it's easy to screw things up.
Go for the 25 mm variant if you think you can afford it. The price difference is not that big.
I myself have 19 mm panels in my garage. Gypsum is pure cr**. Can't withstand anything.
As far as I know, there are no such fire safety requirements.

Doesn't it feel like the whole world turns a bit upside down then? There might be a risk that it goes completely up the walls in my garage, come to think of it.maria01 said:
There are certainly some regulations regarding fire safety, but it’s 4m or more to the nearest building and then I think you can get away with it. I know it partly depended on whether you could have a regular window or not in the wall, for example. I should probably check that again.
No, it doesn't become that much more expensive, just double the price

It says should, so it's not an absolute requirement. A2-s1,d0 means at least non-combustible material.BBR said:The ceilings and walls in

General advice
Ceiling and wall surfaces should have a surface finish of at least class B-s1,d0. The surface finish should be attached to material in class A2-s1,d0 or to a cladding of at least class K210/B-s1,d0.
Wall surfaces in premises in activity class 5A and 5C and large kitchens can be done with a surface finish of class C-s2,d0 attached to material of A2-s1,d0 or cladding in class K210/B-s1,d0. Ceiling surfaces should have a surface finish of class B-s1,d0 attached to material of A2-s1,d0 or cladding in class K210/B-s1,d0.
(BFS 2011:26).
