I am going to build a new floating dock. In the design I have, the support beams are 100x175 pressure-treated. This is a dimension that is hard to find. 2 pcs of 50x175 give the same thickness, but how do I join them to make them as strong as 100x175?
Does the length suffice? If so, it's enough to use carriage bolts, hot-dip galvanized or Stainless Steel A4.
Place bolts both at the top and bottom at the ends, and then overlap along with 50cm spacing.
