Hello!
This spring, I am planning to renovate our exterior stairs, which have settled almost a decimeter towards the house.
The idea is to spray foam into the gap between the stone steps and the house wall (under the front door) to make it airtight. Then I will use self-leveling compound over the entire top semicircular step to level it and then lay slate tiles there. The problem is how to make the mold for the top step. Bendable masonite or is there another smart material?

No, the stairs are freestanding with originally about 7 cm gap between the house foundation and the stairs. Now the stairs have settled, leaning against the house foundation. That's why I want to first level the top step and then lay slate there. The stairs are semi-circular so the largest step is the top one... the other 3 steps are about 20 cm wide so the tilt isn't as noticeable on them.SBH said:
