Hello!
I'm looking for help with building a patio in pressure-treated wood. For a certain reason, it needs to be possible to dismantle it for the winter season and rebuild it in the spring.

Spontaneously, I thought of using hook hinges/lift-off hinges, such as these:

To join a frame with bearers that can then be easily taken apart.

Now my question is whether there might be any brackets actually intended for this?
Or any other alternatives that might work are gratefully received.

Best regards

There are better alternatives than hinges. I would call it a hakbeslag, but I couldn't find anything useful with that when I searched. The closest I quickly found was in the picture, it's called a sängbeslag and shows the principle I think should work. However, it looks a bit awkward for a patio.

Metal bracket set known as bed fittings, used as an alternative to hinges, demonstrating a similar principle for construction applications.

OK. Big thanks for the tip! I continue googling with the newly found bed fitting.

Yes, it looks like the same one. As mentioned, I think it might be a bit weak for your application.

Could it be an option to use joist hangers but only screw the beam that's placed in with a few screws so that it can be easily removed again? It does require being able to access it, but it would be quite simple and cheap.

I have been thinking along those lines as well. My concern with using hooks is that when the wood has warped over the year, you will never get it back together again without using screws anyway...

A screw works both by turning clockwise and then counterclockwise....
