We are about to install a stove. At the store where we plan to buy the stove (contura 660t), they said it's okay to install a stove that weighs 270 kg + chimney. So, around 350 kg I would guess. At the municipality when I was applying for a permit for installation today, they said that 150 kg is the maximum weight when you have a crawl space? What is correct?? I know very little about building constructions...

Both can be right. It entirely depends on how the bjälklag is constructed in your particular house.

Therefore, unfortunately, it is not possible to say that one or the other is right just like that.

I don't know where the beams go yet. But the wall behind where the fireplace is supposed to stand is load-bearing, but maybe that is of little significance?

Old thread, but I'm a bit curious about how it went. I just installed a 660t with a chimney and placed tiles underneath. I have a one-story house from '91 and placed it next to a load-bearing wall. The store and the stove manual said that anything under 400kg was no problem. How did it go?
