Hi, I need a fence about 30 meters. I have looked at ready-made sections available at the building stores.
I plan to set the posts in concrete so it doesn't collapse.
But does such a fence hold up? Or will it fall apart after a few years?

Depends on the location. The conditions vary if you live near the sea or close to the mountains.S snorlax11 said:
What is the purpose of the fence? What type of soil do you have?S snorlax11 said:
The pressure-treated fences hold up, they are often assembled with flimsy nails/pins so you might have to fix an occasional slat. The pre-painted ones from "brands" hold as long as you make sure to repaint them, but I'm doubtful about how long they will last in the long run. The very cheapest are made of very thin boards, and I would avoid those.
We bought fence sections of pressure-treated wood with sturdier dimensions from a company that only builds fences. None of the slats have come loose during the 15 (or so) years it's been up, and I see no signs that it won't last another 15 years without maintenance. If you look around a bit, such companies probably still exist.

As z_bumbi wrote. flimsy nails that hold the fence together. (bought some sections for a deck railing many years ago. The wood lasts many years longer than the "nails")S snorlax11 said:
If you don't get much snow, maybe a plastic fence could be an option? They work excellently in Australia in any case (They buy more plastic fences than other enclosures)
