How do you create the neatest end to the baseboard when you reach the stairs? See image. I wasn't planning to continue the baseboard into the staircase.

Just miter cut at the same angle as the stairs? Some sort of block? Other suggestions?

Then in the staircase itself, a sealant is almost enough, but I plan to have a small white strip there to somewhat match the other side where there's a bigger gap between the wall and the stairs. (In the picture, it's the opposite, the stairs are recessed into the wall).

So, I need to turn the corner, but how do I finish at the slope?

White baseboard ending at stair next to wooden flooring, showing a transition with a gold trim. Wall corner partially visible. Query about finishing touches.

straight off no miter cut

You can also end at the corner and not turn around. It may look strange with a small piece of list by the stairs as well.
