Hello. Did anyone see the pre-made stair sides that Martin installed ::) Where can one buy them, I wonder??? I think he called them vagn stycken..
Feel free to leave tips if you have seen such things anywhere ;)
Regards, Gustav

It's called vang-stycken. Close but no cigar...

I've never seen any when rummaging around in building markets, but they're probably available somewhere. Or they can probably order them upon request.

According to TV4's website, they made the purchases at www.k-rauta.se

Mr starfighter is probably more of a besserschmitt than anything else, vagnstycke!!!! snickarn says VAGNSTYCKE starfighter says - I WANT but CAN NADA. Love Wilson :o

I have no idea why vangstycke gave more hits on the internet than vagnstycke ???

Norstedts Dictionary, 10th edition 1995:

"vangstycken side pieces that support the steps on wooden stairs"

*EDIT* now I became terribly curious about what a vang is, does anyone have a book on older Swedish words?

Didn't see the program. Was it an indoor or an outdoor staircase? I saw pressure-treated ones at Bauhaus a while ago. There were at least three different heights (maybe 3-4-5 steps).

Mr Wilson: It's called BesserWisser....  ;-) ;-)

8) Å då säger han fel, det heter vangstycke och inget annat. ;)

Regardless of what they're called, it's a convenient way to quickly get the stairs to the basement done... Hope they're not too expensive though :D will stop by Bauhaus to check it out...

There's a lot I want and can do, but I never speak on things I don't know. Feels good to have the forum gods on my side 8)

Didn't watch the program but if it's about outdoor stairs, Bauhaus had it in pressure-treated wood last summer.
Unfortunately, they had set the blocks incorrectly with the wood fibers facing upwards.
Even though the steps cover most of it, there's still a gap where moisture/rain goes directly down.
Since I am a lazy person, I bought two anyway, which I then covered with plastic before the steps were put in place.
