Filler material for wooden post with cracks?

Nothing at all, I would say. It is natural for posts to crack if they are sawn in a certain way. If you absolutely must have a smooth surface, then you should cover the posts with wood paneling. What kind of paint should you use?

Epoxy is a broad term, Plastic padding a brand. I would probably prime first, then use chemical wood (Plastic padding) then sand and prime again, then finish with two coats of paint. Alternatively, linseed oil putty and a few thin layers of linseed oil paint, but that takes a long calendar time.R Rolle85 said:
