Hello,
I hope someone knowledgeable can take pity on ignorant me :)

I'm going to hire craftsmen to soundproof an interior wall that adjoins my neighbor. The existing wall seems to be concrete without insulation, and the floor seems to be the same with parquet on top (in both apartments). The sounds I want to get rid of are children's screams and the stomping from the child's running, which unfortunately echoes into my place.

This is the suggestion I've received: "Construction of a sound wall against the neighbor wall 3. 45mm framing, piano insulation, 11mm OSB board, 13mm gypsum, spackling 1 time with tape. cutting of parquet, trim, reusing baseboards. possibly additional insulation under the floor included." The total new thickness should be 70mm.

Does this sound realistic/reasonable? I realize there are lots of factors that affect the disturbances, but I have to try to do something anyway.

Grateful for quick responses as I want to start the work as soon as possible.
