Facade stone on a split-level wall

Hello everyone!

I was wondering if anyone out there has tips on different stone materials or faux stone.

I've seen a number of houses with facades made of black granite, natural stone, etc.
What are these materials actually, and who sells them?

Check with the larger hardware stores like Beijers. They had at least one nice stone slab that a colleague placed outside the styrofoam when he drained and insulated his basement.
