We are planning a house project and will install a metal roof (about 130 sqm). Has anyone installed Plannja Trend? Does it look good, durability, watertightness? How does it compare to real standing seam covering, etc.?

If for any reason you ever need to go on the roof, you should install Trend on fully covering underlay instead of on battens. I have an acquaintance who installed it like this and after the chimney sweep had been up on the roof, it clearly shows where the battens are.

Hmm, well it certainly sounds like a good idea and perhaps not entirely unexpected. Apart from the chimney sweep's fine marks, how does your friend's roof seem otherwise?

Neat!

At a quick glance, one cannot see the difference between it and a real seamed roof. A layman won't see the difference even if you point it out.

As a professional in the industry, I can only say that from a distance it looks good :).
When installing, place it directly on the underlay, have a steep roof if it is only single-folded. And install obstacles (penetrations) as close to the ridge as possible since they are not folded into the roof but placed on top.
