Expansion joint in OSB board?

The OSB boards are 1197 wide for c/c 600, so a 3mm gap seems logical. :

If the boards are 1197 and you have 1200 between the studs, then the centering on the stud will likely drift if you place them edge to edge without a gap, it should soon become noticeable on slightly longer walls...

Depends on which OSB is to be installed, but for OSB3:
- Expansion joint of at least 2 mm/m. For lengths >12 m, additional movement should be considered.
- Walls have the best strength when the panels are mounted with the long edges at a right angle to the support.
- Panel edges are mounted with support, at least 20 mm on the studs.
- The panels are installed with countersinking wood screws at 100 mm center distance, at least 9 mm from the edge.
- Screw length should be 2.5 times the thickness of the panel.

But then you wonder how a screwed-down board can move with the humidity!?!?!!? In that case, you would need to have wide holes so that the board can slide around the screw.
