Existing Interior Wall Soundproofing
Hello, we have some interior walls that have gypsum/OSB but no insulation in the middle. Do you have any experience with whether the noise decreases if they are filled with loose fill? What type of loose fill is best for soundproofing?
much better to apply one or two layers of plasterboard on the wall instead of insulating.Jonatan79 said:
This solution is very simple as well.
otherwise, there are plenty of alternative solutions to work with that function differently well, such as pleated curtains, sound absorbers, etc.

Unfortunately, there is no room for more drywall on either side. On one side there's a thermal storage tank in the way, and on the other side a door. I want to get rid of the speaker box effect on something..
You don't.U Ulf1 said:
But blowing is also not very simple, you will need to make many holes in the wall that need to be repaired later, and you will definitely have to repaint the entire wall.
Are you saying it's not possible to mount extra gypsum on one side?
How do you mean a door is in the way?
Gypsum is not an option. It seems like cellulose has good sound properties. And making holes in the walls' upper parts in several places is not a big problem. Patch and cover with moldings afterward.A Aunty said:
