Hello!
I'm not really sure if this is the right forum section, I apologize if it should be placed elsewhere. I have a crawl space with a concrete slab. On top of that, I'm going to install water-based underfloor heating with tiles, and I'm undecided between using ready-made EPS groove boards or casting EPS concrete and then self-leveling to secure the water pipes.
Spontaneously, EPS concrete feels best as it allows any moisture from the base to be ventilated out, while the groove boards have a significantly higher vapor resistance.
The advantage of the boards is that they are cheaper and they are said to insulate better.
What do you think, will the EPS boards make it too tight?
