We built a small wall section... by extending an even smaller section with studs. Then we screwed on chipboards as "walls". I've plastered a couple of times, but after a while, it cracks at the joint between the chipboard and the old wall. Does it move so much that it will be impossible to get rid of the crack?

I was thinking about putting something like what you put in the joints between drywall panels... like... tape. Do you think that would work?

I think one can assume that without a strip it definitely won't work, if the strip works remains to be seen.

Am I the only one who thinks Snigel is a bit ironic...like offering up himself and telling about his funny clumsiness.

Hihi....well..not really! I was actually hoping to get some good advice on a solution (which I indeed have received).

Oops! Sorry...

Glue (and screw) the chipboards to the wooden frames to avoid movement cracks. Also glue the short sides (chip edges) to each other.

Screw drywall over the whole klabbet. Tape, putty, and paint.

Alternatively, apply a microlit over the entire surface and paint.

If there are small cracks, you can try latex. Otherwise, I agree with the previous post; Microlitväv.

Has tried different forms of weave on wood fiberboard. There is nothing to prevent it from moving over time, at least not in an old wooden house. The only thing that seems stable after a few years is gypsum. If one insists on having wood fiberboard, latex works better than filler.
