The drawing shows that the built-up wall blocks are apparently load-bearing, but is there a solution instead of the column? Attach a steel beam to the floor and ceiling against the wall and then remove it instead? I imagine that a wide steel beam doesn't extend these 60cm like the wall blocks do, so then you can hide the steel beam in the interior wall. Is this a solution that would work? I must take the opportunity to thank everyone for all the responses so far, it's great that people take the time to engage with my problems.
Assumes that the drawing has been followed and the column has been built in bond with the basement exterior wall.
The two walls to the right (boiler room walls?) have the same function as the column, which is to withstand earth pressure.
A concrete slab with a span of 3.6m does not need any supporting braces from above.
One solution would be to demolish the retrofitted wall and build a wall with, for example, 12cm lecasten./MLj
