When it rains heavily outside, a dripping sound appears from the roof/attic in a room. I was so sure it was leaking in that Anticimex came here and checked, but there is no visible water seepage from the roof. When I then calmed down and focused, I realized that it sounds like it's coming from the chimney in the room. We have a masonry chimney and an insert stove. Could there be something in the chimney where the water can "get stuck" and then drip..?
If it were debris or a bird's nest that the water then runs off, it should still drip straight down, and not make noise upstairs, or am I thinking wrong?
