I have a concrete slab consisting of cast "U" elements (approximately 600x200mm) with 45 and 70 beams for the floor on the first floor. See image.

Underneath this, there is a basement, and I'm considering whether it's possible to cut holes for spotlights in each element without affecting the structural integrity. Thickness is about 50mm in the middle of each slab section.

The plan is for 80mm holes, and there will be several for a basement of about 100sqm. The longest span of the slab is approximately 4.5m.

Anyone brave enough to make a guess?
