Double drywall above door, interior wall

Hello,

I'm building my inner wall now with 45 x 95mm studs and plan to put up double drywall. I've reached the door now, how do you do it? Can you just put up two layers of drywall directly above the door without them being supported by any of the boards next to it (so you cut out the corner of the board next to it so the drywall on the door can also be screwed into the door frame)?

No, they should support multiple studs at the same time and depending on how the studs are positioned, I would form an upside-down U or L around the door. Place, mark from the other side of the door opening, and snap. That is, use as large whole pieces as possible and thus as few joints as possible. Stagger the joints between the layers to get extra stability.
