We have been in contact with a builder who speaks highly of dorocell. The bonus is that it's the same owner of ThermoTech who makes underfloor heating.

It would be interesting to know which base dude is enthusiastically promoting Dorocell. I know someone who does, and I can't recommend his work when he works with LECA in any case. Whether it gets better when he works with his LEGO pieces, I don't know. I've heard both positive and negative about foundations built from foam plastic.

One question I ask myself is which way the concrete should dry out. It is blocked by plastic on the sides and upwards by a sill seal. A question mark, simply.

The nightmare with these foundations is if the elements separate, and the concrete flows out between them. It means a lot of chipping...

At the same time, I have a neighbor who built his house with this foundation. He seems satisfied. Seek knowledge and convince yourself. Many sources are always best. Good luck!!

I was referring to the drying out of the wall when building with Dorocell wall elements since the concrete is then covered with plastic on both sides. The seal I meant was the one you place on top of your basement wall to then erect a wooden house on top. Sorry if I was unclear. As I see it, the concrete in the wall is covered with plastic on three of four sides. Where does the moisture go?
