Door frame planing down from 16 to 10mm

Hello,

I have a door casing that is 16mm but need to plane it down to about 10mm. Will an electric planer work? It would be the easiest and fastest way.

It is 120mm wide and 2200 mm long. Routing might work better with a fence if a good side guide can be used.

I have a door trim that is 16mm but need to plane it down to about 10mm. Would an electric planer work? It would be the easiest and fastest.

It is 120mm wide and 2200mm long. Milling would surely work better with a router if it's possible to get a good side support.

Tried it with my Makita electric planer and it worked great. Took a few passes.
