Does this construction work for ceilings?
Hello
I'm a bit unsure now when I'm about to put up a ceiling, so I'm looking for some confirmation that I've thought this through correctly.... So the stuff doesn't fall down... the builders have started, but for various reasons, I feel like I want to finish it myself and don't want them to come back.
1 They have put up some sort of holders in the ceiling meant to hold the beams for the ceiling. They are screwed with 70mm screws into the ceiling beams. The room is 4.40m * 4m. Along the 4.40 length, they have installed 6 holders.
Question 1, is this sufficient? I'm thinking of adding another 70 screw in each holder just to be safe. Or is it enough as it is?
2 In these holders, I plan to mount 45/45 joists from wall to wall (but not attached to the wall) with 2 screws from each side, approximately 1/3 down from the side of the beam. That is, not in the middle of the beam because I need to lower it a bit to make room for insulation.
Question 2, can I screw 1/3 from the edge? Or will that be too weak?
Question 3, what size screws should I use?
3 Under the beam, I plan to set 22/70 battens/panels or equivalent perpendicular on cc 30.
Question 4, should they be screwed in? Or nail gun? Screws must be better, right? 2 screws per attachment point in the joist, I thought. Type of screw?...
4 Then there will be about 8cm of space between the existing ceiling and the top of the battens. Here I plan to fit 2 layers of 5cm mineral wool as insulation.
Question 5, should that fit?
5 Then under the battens, usual 12mm plasterboard will be screwed lengthwise with the battens.
Note that there is no anchoring in the walls; everything hangs from the ceiling.
Then a silly question, the boards will end up perpendicular to the window, which is not optimal, I assume, but if the painter does their job, no seams should be visible, right?

No answers? No one dares? Maybe some answer?
