Hello

I started tearing down some form of ceiling tiles from the basement ceiling, glued with contact adhesive.
As I stood there in the dust, which was like the fog of Lutzen, the thought hit me, are these asbestos tiles I'm breaking down?
Does anyone recognize the tiles from the pictures and can confirm or deny if there's asbestos in them?
They are 300x300x15mm. I haven’t found any markings. Around the edges is a narrow groove, about 2mm high, 15mm deep.

It looks like they're made of cellulose, and they smoke and glow when I burn them.

Square ceiling panels with a textured surface, suspected to contain asbestos, each measuring 300x300x15mm, are shown in a cellar setting. Close-up of a textured, damaged ceiling tile piece, possibly containing asbestos. The tile appears worn and is missing sections along its edges.

It looks like masonite, so no worries. However, the glue might contain nasties.

Well, it doesn't resemble any masonite I've ever seen. The boards are much more crumbly, more like treetex.

Some type of porous board. There were a lot of different models during the heyday.

Ok, just put on the Sundström mask and continue then.

Father-in-law, who once installed the tiles, surprised today, +90 but was adamant that they were acoustic tiles made of stone.
The pattern on the tiles was made by a machine manufactured by Stenlund & Söner.
