Recently bought a house and plan to remove the open fireplace, as it is too small to install an insert, and instead install a cast iron stove. Now to the question: how do I most easily take down the brick-built open fireplace? Demolition hammer? Sledgehammer?

Rent a good bilmaskin, it takes about a weekend if it's a single-story house to break it down and remove everything if you are alone.
