Dimension of glulam beam and post, and attaching beam

Hello!

I was wondering if someone could help me with the dimensions of a glulam beam and glulam pillar for a carport. (I almost suspect that glulam is required and that it won't work with studs?)

It's the beam and pillars on the drawing with the dimensions that are shown. I was thinking of a 90x315 beam and 90x90 posts, under-dimensioned? over-dimensioned?

The construction is supposed to support rafters, boards, felt, battens, and concrete tiles.

I know there are sizing programs in various places online but haven't been able to find one that fits my project.

I was also wondering how best to attach the beam to the storage section, with a beam hanger or by incorporating the beam into the frame construction of the storage? And if so, how much does it need to be incorporated?

Assuming snow zone 2, you'll manage with a 45x220 C18. For the posts, use two glued nailed 45x95.

Moelven has excellent calculation programs that are so easy to use that you don't need to be technical at all.
Available web-based on their site.
They also have an app for the same, called the limträappen. I have used these tools to design the entire house in principle.

Snow zone 1. If 45x220 and 2x 45x95 are enough, then I've definitely over-dimensioned.

Although everything else works with the Internet, like installing the app, it doesn't work. When you press calculate, a Wait sign appears, which after a while is replaced by a message saying it couldn't connect to the Internet, try later. In other words, it's an unusable app.
