Hello,
I am going to remove a well and dig up a short channel for a 75 mm sewage pipe.
When I check the thickness of the slab, it seems to be about 50 cm as it is an old garage.
What machines should I rent for this?
In other words, which demolition hammer? Should I also rent a concrete saw?
Thanks for the help.

How long channel?
I rented the largest Hilti they had, I think it was one like this:

There are smaller ones, but they are more suitable for smaller jobs and precision work.

SDS-MAX with 15-20 joules as the lower limit in the range I would recommend, and then there are more powerful machines with both SDS-MAX and hex shank. The larger the machine, the easier it is to remove masses, but at the same time, finer work becomes difficult if you need such precision. For normally hard concrete, I think a machine with SDS-MAX around 20 joules works okay for simpler jobs like chiseling a shorter trench. If you have hard, well-reinforced concrete, I recommend something more powerful.
Sharp chisels should not be forgotten either.

Thank you for the response.
How do you chisel a groove/channel for pipes? Do you start with the pointed chisel and then the flat one? My channel is only about 50 cm long.
Maybe I should buy one - I have more chiseling to do in the basement. Which machine is recommended?

Well, cheaper I don't know...
