Hello, I'll get straight to the point: what is the work process called that is usually performed during road construction where large corrugated sheets are driven into the ground in an overlapping manner to then be able to excavate on one side with a drastically minimized risk of collapse?
I'm losing hope in my own ability to Google, and could really use some help finding keywords as I would like to read up on it.
Maybe there will be a basement under the extension...
Thank you in advance!

Thank you!
Let's take the thread a step further! Do you pull these up again when you're done? Or do they stay in the ground?
Regards

In most cases, you probably pull them up, but it can certainly vary.
I remember a thread about Arid where someone who worked with that mentioned using electroosmosis to "lubricate" the sheet pile when pulling it up.
