Diffusion sealing wondering if it is needed at the chimney? For those who have installed our chimney have forgotten it and the sweeper wrote in the inspection report that it was missing.

I don't know if it's directly part of the chimney builder's job to fix unless you have agreed on it. But yes, of course, it must also be sealed at the chimney, otherwise the point of sealing is lost. At least in my world.
