Hello,

I've made a bit of a mistake in the kitchen that I'm renovating. The freezer door will hit the marble edge under the window. I thought of fixing it by removing the marble and taking it to a stonemason to trim a couple of centimeters off. What do you think about that? And what could it potentially cost?

  • Kitchen corner with a white freezer door and a small radiator. A marble countertop is seen with miscellaneous items scattered on top.
  • A cluttered windowsill with a marble ledge, various boxes, and construction materials above a radiator in a kitchen renovation setting.
I can imagine they would want 500 for a nice cut.

That wasn't so bad. Looked a bit at the underside, it seems to be stuck solid, almost like it's cemented in place.

Might not even be possible to remove it in one piece? How much does a new one in marble cost, or even better something else, preferably a slightly darker type of stone. Tips are welcome :)
