Hello!

A new addition to the family means turning one room into two, and of course, you want a door to the new room as well.

The door opening will be made in a load-bearing wall. The wall is made of wooden studs, 45x95 cc 60. The plan is to remove one vertical stud, place two on each side of the doorway (70 cm wide doorway), notch these and support with a horizontal stud/beam on edge at the top.

Will it be enough to support with a wider stud? Like 45x195? It will only be about 90 cm long. Or does it need to be done with a laminated beam?

Do I need to apply for a building permit to create a doorway, or is it only for larger modifications like removing a wall or something?

If you use a 45-195 rule with gearing on 70 cm, it will definitely hold regardless of the conditions.

Hello,

Do you know if an inspection by a konstruktör is needed for a 70 cm door? How much can the kontrusktör cost?

Isn't there a rule that says you can have a doorway of maximum 70 cm without an inspection?

Thank you very much
