Hello.
We bricked up the garage and built a staircase almost 2 years ago.
Now there is a crack visible at the joint between the staircase and the wall. I was wondering if there's a way to prevent it from getting worse and water from coming in.
A craftsman suggested that an angle profile (L-profile) of aluminum or stainless steel, 5 cm in height, could be installed both at the top and bottom.
Is that something that will hold?
I have a picture of how the staircase looks now. The crack is not big. The arrows show where the crack is.
What do you have under the plate, a gravel bottom, then it doesn't matter if a little water comes there, is it mostly an aesthetic part you want to address or for water. A piece of metal there will only cover the fold and not seal.
